Gregory W. MacPherson has worked in the computer engineering field for eighteen years. He initially was introduced to programming using seven column paper tape by a friend in high school at the age of sixteen. His first formal training consisted of a class in FORTRAN programming using punched cards. In college Mr. MacPherson studied various programming languages including PL/I, ALGOL, COBOL, SNOBOL, LISP, and Assembler Language on large mainframe compyters. After graduating, Mr. MacPherson increased his vocabulary of programming languages with C, IBM PC Assembler Language and, more recently, C++ and PERL.
Mr. MacPherson has experience working in almost every facet of computing. He has developed software device drivers, applications, and User Interfaces.Mr. MacPherson has developed software, written and discussed security vulnerabilities, been a presenter on diverse computer topics, and is the author of articles detailing security vulnerabilities. He has written applications and system software for mainframes and personal computers. Mr. MacPherson's current work focuses on network architecture design and security.
